I am a graduate of University of South Carolina Upstate. I majored in Communications with a concentration in Mass Media and a minor in Theatre.
I have wanted to be a journalist since I started college. I started working at my student newspaper The Carolinian. Working my way from City Life Reporter, to Assistant Editor, and finally to Editor. I served as Editor for three semesters, in addition to my two previous semesters.
I also have a love for theater. I started working backstage at my local youth theater, before moving to community theater upon graduating. I started stage managing my senior year of high school, and I have been doing so since.
In Spring 2026, I had the opportunity to bring those two loves together, when I was a National Institute for Theatre Journalism and Advocacy (ITJA) Finalist. This was for Region IV of the American College Theatre Festival.
