At the beginning of the fall semester, USC Upstate saw a large increase in new students. This was due to several reasons, which are highlighted in the article. I also interviewed Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Services and Director of Admissions Donnette Stewart about the increase.
“USC Upstate opens doors to new Learning Commons”
In October of 2025, USC Upstate unveiled the new Learning Commons (TLC). I attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 2 to learn more about this historic building.
‘RENT’ preview with USC Upstate alumni newsletter, Spring 2025
For a News and Feature Writing course, we were asked to write articles for the alumni newsletter. I chose to write a preview for the theatre department’s production of ‘RENT.’

For the Fall 2026 alumni newsletter, I cowrote an article with fellow student Evan Lawrence. This was for an Advanced PR Writing course. We highlighted recently hired Technical Director, Zoe Sneed, who is also an alum to USC Upstate.
